Fynbos honey is a uniquely South African honey. It is produced by bees harvesting pollen from a variety of fynbos plants, generally from the areas in the Western Cape of South Africa. Fynbos is a unique and diverse vegetation that grows only in the Cape Floral Kingdom, one of the six major floral kingdoms in the world.

About 6,000 fynbos species found in the Cape Floral Region are endemic to South Africa, meaning that you can’t find them growing naturally anywhere else in the world. So the flavours and properties that are found in fynbos honey are distinctly South African and can’t be reproduced anywhere else.

And because honey carries many of the properties of the plants from which it was produced, every teaspoon in fynbos honey is naturally infused with the unique properties of the famous fynbos.

Because fynbos itself is so diverse, fynbos honey gathered from fields just a few kilometres from each other will be vastly different, made from entirely different combinations of fynbos species. That makes every bottle of fynbos honey totally unique.

The taste, texture and colour combinations of fynbos may vary but overall delicious.

The bees are free to roam this wild space, creating honey that is seeped in a diversity of flavors varying in colour. The bees collect their pollen in this natural space that is entirely undisturbed by commercial farming practices, pesticides & other contaminated chemicals.

Fynbos honey is:
rich in antioxidants
antimicrobial
anti-inflammatory properties
making it a healthy and delicious choice for honey lovers
